Donald Trump has had a terrible week. It began with his comments on H1B Visas during a Fox News interview. Only a few days later, many of his supporters are declaring that ‘MAGA is dead’. In addition to that, there are rumours circulating that Donald Trump performed oral sex on Bill Clinton. Internet is convinced that the rumours are true.
Furthermore, there’s a brewing split within the Republican Party over the Epstein Client List and Immigration. Donald Trump has been calling the former a ‘Democrat Hoax’. Not even his supporters are buying it. On the latter, he made the cardinal sin of speaking truth to his supporters. Trump had said that the USA lacks certain talents, so bringing in immigrants with adequate skill sets is necessary. Unsurprisingly, MAGA did not like that.

The Bill Clinton rumours stem from an email exchange between Jeffery Epstein and his brother Mark from 2018. The former asked his brother whether Russian President Vladimir Putin had photographs of Trump performing oral sex on ‘Bubba’. It is one of Bill Clinton’s nicknames.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump is busy waging a war against popular Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. He has rescinded his endorsement of the Congresswoman, who has been one of his strongest supporters through thick and thin.
He has made a series of ‘mean-posts’ against Marjorie Taylor Greene, calling her a traitor and ‘wacky’. In one post, he called her Marjorie Taylor ‘Brown’ because green grass turns brown when it starts to rot. The dispute began after the Georgia Congresswoman refused to toe the Trump line on the Epstein files. She is continuing to demand their release even after Trump labelled it a ‘Democrat Hoax’.
MAGA is Dead
Popular Far-Right Influencer Nick Fuentes released a video declaring that MAGA is Dead after Trump’s comments on H1B Visas and immigration. Fuentes expressed his disappointment with the Trump Presidency and said that he had warned people for long that this is how things will turn out. On November 13, Fuentes tweeted the same.

Now, the ‘MAGA is Dead’ declaration has found support from a lot of influencers who previously supported Donald Trump. The slogan is currently trending on social media. Many users also posted photographs and videos of burning MAGA hats.

Influencers are proposing ‘America First’ as an alternative to MAGA. The ‘America First’ crowd has many unapologetic racists and antisemites among its ranks. Only a few of them appear to be intellectual critics of US immigration policies.

Donald Trump faces his biggest political crisis
Donald Trump is mired in crisis all around. His favourability with Americans is collapsing. The Affordability and Housing crisis is tanking his popularity even among his supporters. Republicans are fighting among themselves over immigration and the ‘Israel Lobby’. His longstanding allies such as Marjorie Taylor Greene are abandoning him.

The Epstein emails have only added more chaos to the mess. Trump is now 79 years old. Does he have the will to reinvent himself and take strong action to reverse the trend? Could he conjure some potent strategy to get over this ordeal? Only time will tell. But age is certainly not in his favour. If the negativity continues to fester, it’s hard to see how he will pull things together before the Midterm Elections.
Social Media created Brand Trump in American Politics. And social media could very well pull him down. While he still has time to recover, it is running out fast. Meanwhile, he is busy making even more enemies through words and deeds.
