Former US first lady Michelle Obama has been recently giving interviews and hosting podcast show called the IMO Podcast in America. There is one noticeable thing about all these platforms where she has been speaking lately – her negative attitude towards the former President of USA and her husband, Barack Obama.
In one such recent IMO podcast, Michelle Obama and her brother Craig Robinson hosted American radio personality Angie Martinez. During the end of the discussion, when Martinez suggested she could have had a son, Michelle Obama replied she is glad she does not have a son because he would have grown up to be Barack Obama.

When Angie Martinez remarked a baby Barack would have been amazing. She further added, “I would have felt for him”.
However, this is not the first time where Michelle was found making strange remarks about relationships and marriages in public. In another separate podcast, she had said it is normal to have a decade of bad days for a married couple. This was picked up by the Megyn Kelly Show where Michelle’s attitude towards Obama was highlighted.
In another podcast, Michelle Obama expressed her opinion on social media users who use the hashtag ‘Couple Goals’ about her marriage with Barack Obama. She did not want people to assume that everything is perfect and that even best of marriages have some broken things. She noted that there would be hardships in marriage.
When the podcaster Jay Shetty had asked about quit-worthy things in a relationships, Michelle said that criminality and abuse is non-negotiable thing in relationships. She also mentioned that she did not want her daughters to be in an oppressive marriage.
Michelle Obama’s absence from recent public events including Donal Trump’s inauguration on January sparked divorce rumors with Barack Obama. Also, Malia Obama, the eldest daughter of Barack Obama chose to drop her surname professionally, instead used the name Malia Ann. Barack Obama himself stated that Malia’s decision to drop her surname was to build her own identity in the filmmaking industry and not leverage the ‘Obama’ surname.
However, Michelle Obama tried to quash the divorce rumors saying “That’s the thing that we as women, I think we struggle with disappointing people. So much so that this year people were — they couldn’t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself that they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing.” She said this in an April 9 episode of the podcast called “Work in Progress with Sophia Bush”.
