Juliet Turner attained her Doctorate Degree from the University of Oxford recently. She is an Ecologist and Evolutionary Biologist. She celebrated her achievement with a photograph of herself on X. That did not go down well with the Manosphere. Influencer Richard Cooper mocked her achievement asserting that no man ever cared about a woman’s degree. Then, he got hit with the trend ‘Degree on that Chick’.
The Manosphere influencer made the comment solely to undermine her personal achievement. Juliet Turner did not pursue a PhD for male validation. There was nothing in her celebratory post to suggest that she posted it male validation.

It’s quite evident that Cooper’s post could only make sense in the head of a Manosphere influencer. Soon after his tweet went viral for all the wrong reasons, women turned the jibe into an X trend to celebrate their achievement.

Women on X responded to Cooper with the trend ‘Degree on that Chick’. They shared photographs with their degrees. They are smiling and celebrating in the photos, soaking in the joy of the moment.

Women on X said that the trend made them extremely happy. They said that it was great to see beautiful, educated women celebrate their achievements.

The Ecologist is not letting the Manosphere spoil her mood. She shared screenshots of the responses she has received from men for celebrating her achievement. The misogynists attempted to insult her but haven’t been successful in their attempts.

Some mocked her saying that her PhD Thesis was on ants. She busted those claims, describing the applicability of her study on the evolution of cooperation and division of labour. She said that it has learnings for a variety of fields such as Cancer Research, Tech, Economics & Sociology.
