After the suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk was arrested, FBI Director Kash Patel was trolled on X for paying tribute to the famous Republican activist by saying that he would meet him in the afterlife in Valhalla.
See you in Valhalla? He’s Ragnar Lothbrok now? https://t.co/gbR7cwPocn

In the press conference held in Orem, Utah, Kash Patel announced the arrest of the suspect. 22 year old Tyler Robinson was arrested in connection with the shooting. At the end of his statement, Patel said, “To my friend Charlie Kirk. Rest now, brother. We have the watch. And I’ll see you at Valhalla.”
The use of the term “Valhalla” invoked sharp reactions and trolling on X. Valhalla refers to a paradise for warriors in Norse Mythology.
I saw it. Patel is no Ragnar.

X users claimed that Kash Patel might have been influenced by the popular TV Series ‘Vikings’. One user said, “I saw it. Patel is no Ragnar.”

Another X user said, “Listening to Patel, you wouldn’t know the FBI didn’t catch the suspect. A family friend turned him in.”

Another person added a sectarian angle to the Kash Patel ‘Valhalla’ remark. Charlie Kirk was a known Christian activist as well. Orthodox Christians would consider the remark blasphemy.

Another user sarcastically remarked Valhalla was in New York!

Another user mentioned that Charlie Kirk was a Christian and so, he would go to heaven and not Valhalla. The user also pointed out that Kash Patel is himself a Hindu and unlikely to be someone who believes in the Norse Gods.

Finally, one user asked if the current administration could do anything without adding drama to it. The post said, “Can this administration do anything without adding an air of drama to it???”
