Iran War prospect divides Americans as Israel is accused of attempting to drag USA into another war

There are extensive rumours circulating that Israel may strike Iran to eliminate their nuclear facilities. Conflicting reports have emerged regarding the extent of American involvement in the suggested strikes. Some reports suggest that the USA may directly participate in the strikes while others say that Israel is likely to go ahead with its strikes against Iran independently.

It is acknowledged, however, that any attack by Israel on Iran will drag the USA into a war in the Middle East. The USA, meanwhile, has approved the departure of non-essential personnel from its diplomatic and military sites across the region. It is being interpreted as a sign that the strikes on Iran’s nuclear bases could be imminent.

The prospect of a War with Iran has divided Americans on social media. Donald Trump has portrayed himself as the ‘anti-War’ candidate. If the USA finds itself in another war in the Middle East during his term, it would be considered as a huge betrayal by his support base.

However, he has reiterated amidst the escalating tensions that Iran cannot be allowed to have a nuclear weapon. His statement is particularly significant as Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth has reportedly told the Pentagon that Iran is working towards a nuclear weapon.

The Trump Base is opposed to any US intervention in Iran

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a staunch Trump ally in the House of Representatives, said on X that the USA should be more focused on solving its problems than get involved in foreign wars. She said, “Americans don’t want to bomb Iran because the secular government of Israel says that Iran is on the verge of developing a nuclear bomb any day now.”

She further stated, “Everyone I know is tired of US intervention and regime change in foreign countries… Everyone I know wants us to fix our own problems here at home. Not bomb other countries that have nothing to do with our own self inflicted problems.”

Cassandra Macdonald, Editor at pro-Trump media outlet The Gateway Pundit, asserted that Iran is not capable of producing a nuclear weapon that could hit the USA. She said that American sons and daughters should not die over something that is not the USA’s problem.

Matt Walsh, a conservative political commentator at the Daily Wire, asserted that the Middle Eastern country poses no credible threat to the United States.

InfoWars Hose Harrison Smith believes there will be massive protests in the United States if the Trump Administration approves any military intervention against Iran’s nuclear sites.

What others are saying about the potential Israeli strikes

Michael Tracey, an independent journalist with liberal political inclinations, has weighed in on the escalating tensions. He suggested that it is foolish to believe that Israel would strike Iran without the approval and support of the US.

‘AntiWar’ editor Dave DeCamp said that he refused to believe that Benjamin Netanyahu is dragging the USA into War. He said that if the war does happen, then Donald Trump is a willing participant.

The Libertarian Party of Tennessee, which is irrelevant politically, suggested that military aid to Israel should be halted.

Anthony Scaramucci, former Trump official turned critic, took potshots at Donald Trump for his inability to stop the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Gaza Wars and the threat of potential Israeli strikes against Iran looming large.

Netizens say Israel is dragging USA into a war with Iran

Israel was accused of attempting to drag the United States into a war with Iran by multiple accounts on X.

Some suggested that the United States should sever ties with Israel if the strikes against Iranian nuclear sites do go through.

Most do not want anything to do with another war in the Middle East. They say that Israel should fight its own wars.

There is a strong anti-Iran lobby in the Trump Administration and among his support base who are eager to see strikes on the Middle Eastern country. They have found strong opposition from others such who want the USA to focus on its problems. Sometimes, the difference in opinion between the groups have gotten ugly. Political Commentator Mark Levin and Tucker Carlson have been embroiled in a dispute over the matter, with the pro-Intervention Levin accusing Carlson of being an agent of Qatar.
