Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost has appointed Mathura Sridharan as the state’s 12th Solicitor General. In her new position, Sridharan will serve as the state’s top attorney for appeals in State and Federal courts.
In addition to her Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law, Mathura Sridharan has a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Racists on X unleashed a torrent of bigotry against Sridharan following the announcement. They accused her of being a foreigner despite the fact that she is an American.

Racial Bigotry against Indians escalates in USA
There has been a significant uptick of racism against Indians in the West recently. Vivek Ramaswamy, who is aspiring to become Ohio Governor, has suffered racist vitriol due to his Indian roots as well. Harmeet K Dhillon, a member of the Trump White House, was subjected to vicious trolling due to her Sikh faith.
The racism isn’t limited to social media alone. There have been several violent attacks against people of Indian origin in western countries. The victims have suffered grievous injuries and in certain cases, they have also lost their lives.
