Pakistan has refused to deescalate tensions with India. It has launched drone attacks at multiple Indian locations in border areas on Friday evening. Drones have been spotted in Jammu, Samba, Pathankot and Amritsar so far. The Indian Air Defence Systems are working effectively to repel such attacks.

Heavy artillery is also being used to target Indian Civilians in Kashmir. The Indian Army is retaliating effectively on that front as well.
Pakistan rejects deescalation attempts
Talks of deescalation were rife in Indian social media earlier as the Indian Government reaffirmed its commitment to deescalation if the other side behaves responsibly. India’s nasty neighbour was given the opportunity of an off ramp which they have refused to take.
It was also reported that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio dialled both countries after the drone attacks from both sides on Thursday to urge deescalation. Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance had said in an interview around the same time that a war between India and Pakistan is ‘none of our business’.
India had taken several measures that indicate the Government does not believe Pakistan is a rational actor. Operations at multiple airports have been suspended. The Territorial Army had been called up even before the drone attacks on Friday. The events of this evening appear to have eliminated any possibility of deescalation in the near future.
