'Owning humans is not inherently evil': Christian Podcaster Joshua Haymes uses Bible to justify slavery

Christian Nationalist Podcaster Joshua Haymes made some extremely shocking claims in a recent video on his YouTube Channel ‘Reformation Red Pill’. He said that the ‘institution of slavery is not inherently evil’. US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth had appeared on a podcast with Haymes in early 2024.

Joshua Haymes further stated, “It is not inherently evil to own another human being.” According to him, every Christian should ‘affirm’ his point of view and it’s ‘very important’ that they do so. Not only that, every Christian should also be able to defend his point of view.

“The Bible does not teach that the institution of slavery is inherently sinful. Therefore, Christians must not say that the institution of slavery is inherently sinful,” the podcaster said. Joshua Haymes, however, said that he believes that the abolition of slavery was a good thing.

Joshua Haymes plays victim after being called out

The Christian Nationalist Podcaster played victim on X after he was called out. One user commented that if someone assassinated Joshua Haymes, then they will be told it is wrong to celebrate his death because he is Christian. The Podcaster responded saying, “If you believe the Bible, they want you dead.”

The Podcaster further defended himself on X by reiterating what he said in the video. He said that “to posit that all forms of slavery are inherently evil is to accuse God of helping institute and regulate an evil system for the nation of Israel in the Old covenant.”

“If owning another person is inherently evil today, then it was inherently evil in ancient Israel, and thus you can accuse God of engaging in evil,” he added.

There has been a radical increase in extremism in the USA in recent times. The radicalism is on the rise on all sides of the political spectrum. Liberals and leftists across the board celebrated the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The TPUSA head was a mainstream American conservative with hardly any extremist opinions.

The Rightwing has also resorted to incendiary rhetoric in recent times. Republican House Candidate Valentina Gomez recently went to a Mosque to tell ‘those terrorists’ to leave USA. She says that Americans should vote for her to ‘end Islam’ in USA.
