Vivek Ramaswamy has suffered another round of intense racist trolling after sharing a photograph of his sons dressed up for Halloween. Recently, racism against people of Indian-origin has shot up in western countries, especially in the USA.
The Indian-American is running to become Ohio Governor in the Gubernatorial elections next year. He has attracted intense criticism from the MAGA base in recent times. His ordeal reflects the larger shift in American politics, where racism towards non-Whites has become mainstream.
While Vivek Ramaswamy has not responded to the racist comments himself, others have commented on the disturbing trend.

White Nationalists and other racists targeted Ramaswamy over his Indian ethnicity and Hindu faith. Some told him to “stop pretending to be American” while others demanded he go to India.

There were others who suggested that Ramaswamy was masquerading as a “long-time American”.

The Indian diaspora has become a target for the MAGA base in recent times. They believe that people of Indian-origin are taking the jobs of White Americans. Instead of directing their rage against the establishment of both parties that formulate national policy, they are choosing to attack people who had no role in formulating the policies.
Support pours in for Ramaswamy after racist attack
Influential individuals across the political spectrum have called out the racist abuse against Vivek Ramaswamy. Conservative influencer Dinesh D’Souza has said that it will not surprise him if Latinos, Blacks and other minorities desert the Republican party en masse.

Dinesh D’Souza has been consistently calling out the increasing racism against the Indian Diaspora in USA. Earlier in October, he had said that he had never seen such hatred ever before during his career spanning 40 years.

Media personality Darvio Morrow said that while has political differences with Ramaswamy, he could not remain silent to the public display of racism. He said, “No matter what you say or do, they only see your brown skin and Indian heritage. They view you as subhuman. EVERY minority is a target of these white supremacists.”

Immigration Lawyer Anna K. Gorsich mocked the notion that “MAGA accepts Indians and Hindus.” White Supremacists attacked her as well while dishing out abuse to Indians as usual.
The racism against Indians in the USA has become too loud for anyone to ignore. People such as Dinesh D’Souza who regularly indulge in peddling hatred against the Hindu Community have discovered that their non-Hindu faith will not protect them from racist attacks.

Earlier, Harmeet Dhillon, an attorney in the Trump Administration, was also attacked by MAGA trolls for her Sikh faith. She, too, has attempted to align the Sikh Faith with Abrahamic Monotheism in the past. Nevertheless, MAGA trolls do not care enough about such subtle nuances to spare them.
