After Nepal GenZ protesters claimed their protests were non-violent and peaceful, videos of violent GenZ Nepali mob on a rampage vandalizing public properties have been captured by a foreign tourist covering the hostile situation in Nepal.

YouTuber ‘WeHateTheCold’ captured the visuals while he was in Nepal as a tourist. He captured the moments of the destruction of Nepal’s Parliament by the protesters.

In the videos that have emerged, young Nepalese protesters can be seen engaging in looting, vandalism and arson. They smash vehicles, danced on top of trucks and buses, while rioting and demonstrating other lawless behaviour.

In another video, a young protester says “We did it!” The protester revealed that he got out of prison less than 24 hours ago.

Nepal GenZ Protesters claim they were not involved in violence

Earlier, Nepali GenZ protest groups had claimed that the protests were peaceful and they were not involved in any kind of mob violence. A notice issued by GenZ said, “We are not associated with any individuals or groups involved in vandalism or destruction of public property.”

However, the visuals emerging from the violence clearly indicate that a lot of people belonging to the GenZ age group did commit acts of violence.

Why Nepali youth erupted in protest

The protests erupted after a Social Media ban was imposed by the Oli government in Nepal on September 4, 2025. GenZ Nepalese viewed the ban as an infringement to their freedom of speech and took to the streets to protest against the ban and other existing issues in Nepal like corruption among the Nepalese elite.
