'US does not have certain talents': Donald Trump defends H1B Visas, triggers MAGA

US President Donald Trump has defended the H1B Visa program during a recent interview with Fox News presenter Laura Ingraham. He said that H1Bs are necessary since the USA does not have certain kind of talents. Laura Ingraham was not happy with the answer but Donald Trump remained firm in his stance.

Ingraham said, “The H1B Visa thing won’t be a priority for your administration? If you want to raise wages for American workers, you can’t flood the country with tens of thousands of foreign workers.” Donald Trump responded, “I agree but you also do have to bring in talent.”

The Fox News Presenter asserted, “We have plenty of talent.” Trump shot back, “No, you don’t.” He explained, “You don’t have certain talents and people have to learn. You can’t take people out of an unemployment line and say, I’m gonna put you into a factory where we’re gonna make missiles.”

Donald Trump cites the South Korea debacle to defend H1Bs

Trump cited the example of South Korean factory workers to explain his position. The ICE raid in Georgina earlier this year triggered a huge controversy. South Korean workers who had arrived in the USA to train Americans to help them get the EV Battery Plant operational were detained and then deported.

The American President had to personally intervene to salvage the situation but the South Korean workers refused to come back. As a consequence, the Hyundai factor has shut down and is unlikely to restart operations before the first half of 2026.

Trump said, “In Georgia, they raided because they wanted illegal immigrants out. They had people from South Korea who made batteries all their lives. You know, making batteries is very complicated. It’s not an easy thing. It’s very dangerous, lot of explosions, lot of problems.”

He added, “They had like 500-600 people, early stages, to make batteries and to teach people how to do it. Well, they wanted them to get out of the country. You are gonna need that, Laura. You can’t just say, a country is coming in who are gonna invest $10 billion to make a plant and you’re gonna take people off an unemployment line, who haven’t worked in 5 years and they are gonna start making missiles. It doesn’t work that way.”

Trump Interview Triggers MAGA

Popular MAGa influencer Mike Cernovich said Donald Trump broke everyone’s hearts with his comment about the USA not having enough talents.

Podcaster Mel said that she was tired of politicians speaking ill of the American people.

One X user said that he did not vote for Trump so that he could insult him.

Another user said, “It’s been fun but this is so over the line I can’t do this anymore. We are the United States of gdp, Jews and Indians now.” The MAGA base is gravely upset with Trump over the comments. Furthermore, they expect that more immigrants will enter the USA on H1Bs in the near future.

The ‘Red Pilled America’ Podcast said that Trump’s comment was worse than anything Vivek Ramaswamy has tweeted about H1Bs.

Furthermore, there is a feeling of betrayal among the MAGA crowd currently. They believe it’s Trump’s 1st term all over again. The H1B Visa has become a major issue in the USA in recent times. MAGA believes American youth are not getting jobs because companies are hiring foreign workers on H1Bs because they are cheaper. Nevertheless, it is also true that racism has been a recurring theme of the anti-H1B rhetoric.
