Vivek Ramaswamy and Nikki Haley trade some intense barbs during the Republican primaries for the 2024 Presidential Elections. They had some intense face-offs during the debates which Donald Trump refused to attend. However, Vivek Ramaswamy won the contest comprehensively and embarrassed her on national television on multiple occasions.
Now, her son Nalin Haley has decided to avenge his mother’s humiliation by targeting Ramaswamy’s Hindu faith. The Ohio Governor aspirant has suffered severe racism in recent times. He has also been the victim of Hinduphobic attacks. His political opponents within the Republican Party have now ganged up with Christian Nationalists and White racists to target him.

It is pertinent to mention that Nikki Haley comes from a Sikh family herself. She married a Christian man and converted to Christianity. She also anglicised her name to disassociate herself from Sikh culture further.
Nalin Haley tries to avenge his mother’s humiliation
After Democrats swept elections across the country on Tuesday, Vivek Ramaswamy had some words of advice for his own party. He said that Republicans should focus on affordability and making the American Dream affordable. He also said that Republicans should stop engaging in Identity Politics.
It is the second advice that Nalin Haley took an objection to. He said, “We care about religion and Christians have every right to want to be represented by another Christian.” He added, “The 2010’s talking points are so cringe.”

This is not the first time Nalin Haley has mocked Vivek Ramaswamy. In October, he mocked Ramaswamy over his make-up.
The next day, he accused Ramaswamy of slandering Christianity. He said, “Comparing the Holy Trinity to your 330 million gods is blasphemous, disrespectful, and a slap in the face to every Christian.”
In November itself, he accused Vivek Ramaswamy of not assimilating to American culture.
Nalin Haley’s obsession with Ramaswamy indicates a deep-seated desire to humiliate him for how he embarrassed his mother. In the current politician climate, he has decided to use a convenient tool to settle his political differences.
How Vivek Ramaswamy embarassed Nikki Haley
Ramaswamy and Nikki Haley had continuous back and forth during the Republican primary debates. After a series of criticisms, Haley accused the former of being sexist. He responded saying, “After the third debate, when I criticized Ronna McDaniel after five failed years of leadership of this party and criticized Nikki for her corrupt foreign dealings as a military contractor, she said that I have a woman problem. Nikki, I don’t have a woman problem. You have a corruption problem. And I think that that’s what people need to know. Nikki is corrupt.”
During the first debate, Nikki Haley said, “The problem that Vivek doesn’t understand is, he wants to hand Ukraine to Russia, he wants to let China eat Taiwan, he wants to go and stop funding Israel. You don’t do that to friends.” She also claimed he is “choosing a murderer (Vladimir Putin) over a proud American country.”

Ramaswamy made a particularly caustic remark during the third debate. He said, “Do you want a leader from a different generation who is going to put this country first, or do you want Dick Cheney in three-inch heels?” Dick Cheney was the Vice President of USA during the disastrous Iraq invasion. The invasion destabilised the whole regions and wasted trillions of US dollars.
At another point, he said about Haley, “This is a woman who will send your kids to die so she can buy a bigger house.” During the second debate, Haley criticised Ramaswamy for joining TikTok. She said, “We can’t have TikTok in our kids’ lives. We need to ban it.”
Ramaswamy replied in the next debate, “In the last debate, she made fun of me for actually joining TikTok while her own daughter was actually using the app for a long time. So you might want to take care of your family first.” Haley called him “scum” for bringing up her daughter to settle a political feud.
