Vivek Ramaswamy had some words of advice for the Republican Party after Democrats swept the elections across multiple states on Tuesday. The Ohio Governor aspirant has suffered incessant racist abuses recently for his Indian ethnicity and Hindu faith. Again, he suffered the same after asking Republicans to stop identity politics.
He said there’s two key lessons for Republicans. First, “Our side needs to focus on affordability. Make the American Dream affordable.” Second, “Cut out the identity politics. It doesn’t suit Republicans. It’s not for us. That’s the Woke Left’s Game.”

Christian Nationalists and White Racists among Republicans would clearly disagree with his second point. Unsurprisingly, they did in the comment section. They flooded the replies with racist abuse directed at not only Vivek Ramaswamy but all Indians.
Racists target Vivek Ramaswamy again
Racist trolls in the replies section mocked Ramaswamy over his comments. Furthermore, they made it clear that they will not stop their racist attacks against people of Indian-origin.

Another racist said he should ‘f**k off’ to India. He also wanted Ramaswamy to stop telling Americans how they should run the country.

Moreover, there were many others in the comments section who shared the same opinion.
You’re part of the problem.

One user equated Vivek Ramaswamy with Zohran Mamdani, saying that they are both brown men who do not belong in USA.
a brown man who doesn't belong here just became mayor of NY, we don't need another one lecturing us

The racists also shared vulgar memes to denigrate Indians.

Vivek Ramaswamy had remained silent so far on the racist attacks that he has suffered recently. He said something about it only today and that, too, in the most benign way possible. Even then, White Christian Nationalists have attacked him due to his skin colour.
How long can Ramaswamy continue in the Republican Party?
This is not the first time that racists have trolled Ramaswamy. Less than a week ago, racists targeted him for wishing people a happy Halloween. Then, too, they had targeted him over his Indian ethnicity and Hindu faith.
Ramaswamy is not the only non-White Republican who has suffered racist abuse from people in his own party. Trump admin attorney Harmeet Dhillon has also suffered the same in recent times. Harmeet Dhillon went so far as to attempt to disassociate the Sikh faith from Hinduism and align it with Christianity. However, the racists in her party did not care.

Conservative media personality Dinesh D’Souza has said that he has never seen this kind of racism before during his 40-year career. Furthermore, he had warned that if the Republicans continue to give racists a free pass, then Latinos, Blacks and other minorities will leave the Republican Party. There was some evidence of that in the elections held on Tuesday. Latinos and South Asians who had voted for Donald Trump in 2024 appear to have abandoned the Republicans.
People have started asking questions about Ramaswamy’s future in the Republican Party. They are criticising him for remaining silent on the racist attacks against him and his family. While some people are sympathetic towards his plight, most find his silence inexcusable.
Under these circumstances, it is fair to speculate whether Ramaswamy will leave the Republican Party. However, it is unlikely that he will before the Ohio Gubernatorial elections. If he loses the elections, then there are very good chances that he might end up leaving the party.
